Refund and Cancellation

Withdrawal and refund in respect of CompareDesk®, a product of AIXI Digital GmbH, Stoß im Himmel 1, 1010 Wien, FN 684884 h, company register court Handelsgericht Wien. This page summarises points 3.4, 4 and 4a of the licence terms; in case of doubt the licence terms apply. Version: September 2026.

This is a translation provided for convenience. In the event of any discrepancy, the German version of this document prevails.

1. Before purchase: examination free of charge

The free version of CompareDesk comprises twenty-five complete comparisons with all functions, without registration and without a time limit. The Software may thus be examined in the user's own working environment before any payment.

2. Seller and contractual partner

A licence is acquired through Freemius acting as a reseller in its own name (merchant of record). Freemius acts as the seller towards the user, issues the invoice, collects value added tax and processes payment and refund. The contractual partner for the grant of the software licence remains AIXI Digital GmbH.

3. Consumer right of withdrawal

Where the user is a consumer within the meaning of the Konsumentenschutzgesetz (Austrian Consumer Protection Act), the statutory rights of withdrawal under the Fern- und Auswärtsgeschäfte-Gesetz (FAGG, Austrian Distance and Off-Premises Transactions Act) apply. The period is fourteen days from conclusion of the contract.

In the case of digital services the right of withdrawal ceases to exist as soon as performance of the contract has begun before expiry of the withdrawal period, after the user has expressly consented thereto and has confirmed knowledge of the loss of the right of withdrawal. Since the licence key is issued and delivered immediately after payment, this is regularly the case.

4. Refund

Irrespective of the statutory right of withdrawal, AIXI refunds the amount paid within fourteen days of payment, provided that the Software has not been used to a substantial extent. The associated licence key ceases to be valid upon the refund.

A request is to be addressed to office@comparedesk.eu or directly to Freemius as the seller. The email address used upon purchase and the invoice number are to be stated. The refund is made to the same means of payment with which payment was made.

5. Termination of a subscription

A running subscription may be terminated by the user at any time without assistance through the customer portal of Freemius, namely at https://users.freemius.com/. In that case the licence remains valid until the end of the period already paid for. No pro rata refund is made for the remaining period, and no further remuneration arises.
